Rotary World Peace Fellowship
I have been very fortunate to have been awarded a Rotary World Peace Fellowship for 2010. The fellowship means that I will attend a three-month professional development program at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok from June to August 2010. The program includes the core themes of conflict analysis and mapping, conflict tracking, conflict transformation, and peace building. In addition, the curriculum offers its fellows a key set of practical tools for conflict resolution and peace building which fellows can use once they return to their communities. By building and strengthening a capable and dedicated network of peace builders who graduate from this program, the Rotary Center hopes to make a lasting contribution to peace in communities across the globe.

Artful Inquiry Workshop
In October Cathryn Lloyd and I attended the Association for Conflict Resolution Conference in
Atlanta, Georgia. We are presented a workshop on “Artful Inquiry: A Creative and Collaborative
Approach for Change and Transformation”. We presented a very similar workshop in September
at the Australian LEADR Conference in Melbourne, Victoria and feedback from the 60+
participants was that it was the most valuable part of the conference!
Peace In Peace Out
From 1 February to 31 May 2010 I will be working as a Peace Revolution Researcher and special
lecturer for the Dhammachai Institute. The project I am working on involves training 18-30 year
olds – the program includes training in meditation (with a “T”) and conflict resolution/peace
building skills – PEACE IN, PEACE OUT! There are currently almost 600 young people from
110 countries participating in the Peace Revolution project. I will be based at the Dhammakaya
headquarters not far from Bangkok. I am looking forward to a very different pace of life, as well as
some adventures around South East Asia.
